Corporate Health Screening

Regular Health Screening of employees is beneficial to both employee and employer. Employees see it as a huge benefit and is the perfect time to detect any illnesses or diseases commonly missed. This is a great way of providing the employee with the opportunity of possibly addressing previously unsuspected serious health issues.

Seeing a Company Doctor provides fast access to an experienced Doctor, where treatment can be arranged without delay saving time away from work.  The management of long term illness and sickness absence is improved by close links between the Company HR department and the Company Doctor.

Health Screening is particularly recommended for employees over 40 bi-annually and those over 50 or with any special history to be screened on a yearly basis.

Health Screening Medicals consist of the doctor taking a full medical history, including social, environmental and occupational stresses. A physical medical examination is then performed and discussion takes place about the need for specific tests, eg. Smear, mammogram, prostate specific antigen. Samples of urine and blood are taken for analysis to provide information on 24 indices, including haematology profile, liver, kidney, mineral and glucose metabolism, lipid profile for cholesterol levels, etc. An Electrocardiogram and lung function test is also carried out and where required an audiogram and eye test.

Health Screening takes approximately 1 hour  and because the patient has fasted from midnight they are usually booked in during the morning session of the day.

Medical screening can be individually designed to cover the requirements of a client company.

The key advantage of having a Company Medical Adviser is that there is continuity for the employee and employer because the Doctor has the complete medical history for the patient and can quickly assess any changes in his or her health.
